It's every T1D parent's worst nightmare: diabetic It's every T1D parent's worst nightmare: diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).

Earlier this month, we worried that Kaylee might be going through it so we took precaution. We took her to the hospital right away where she was treated with fluids. It was a scary day for our entire family.

Especially Kaylee. 🥺

We don't share moments like this with you lightly. It's vulnerable but it's also real, and going through this reminded us why we created TK.Type1 in the first place. Kaylee embodies what it means to be a T1D warrior. She shows us that each and everyday... through all of T1D's highs & lows!

We share this moment with you to spread awareness of what it means to live with T1D. T1D isn't a glamorous disease. We're grateful to live in a time where there's a lot to be hopeful about. Still, we acknowledge the burdens.

So today, we're sending love to all families going through a new diagnosis or navigating an intense T1D challenge. You're not alone. 💙
